Ok guys heres one for you.

I have been looking at a 1995 Plymouth Acclaim S E.

2.5 L 4 cyl. 3 speed auto, 116k miles. Its in very nice shape for $2350.

What say you?

That is a 26+ year old car.  If it is going to be your daily driver, I would definitely look for something newer.

Sounds like way too much money for a 26-year-old Plymouth. Almost anything could grenade on that vehicle at any time. $1000 or less would be a more realistic price.

You'll have trouble finding parts, IMHO.

isn't overall condition better than age? almost all of the posters here are having problems with cars made from 2005 or newer. So many of them have the chance of major problems, the bulk of them, tranny issues, it's hard to find a good car. This site has a link for horrible Hondas and toyotas, New ford, GM,Chrysler, and so many others are purported to also be junk. What's a guy to do?

age is a condition.
Save up some more money and buy a reliable car that isn't ancient, and with the lowest mileage you can afford. Avoid the horrible ones.
