What's everyone's opinion on early 2000s dodge grand caravans bc I want one but want to know everyone's opinion on 2002 model year
Rolling piles of junk per Scotty, and from my own experience. My mom had a 9 year old one and the headliner was starting to fall down with 100k miles on it. My 1999 Ranger's headliner still looks brand new after 22 years and pushing 300k miles. The water pump exploded around 120k and she got rid of the van. Here's Scotty's opinion. https://youtu.be/VrIWevxpmt4
I'll give you credit on the headliner- mine was destroyed when I bought it. But are you sure that this vehicle is bad?

That one being a 4-banger probably helped the transmission last longer. I doubt Chrysler built those vans to take different trannies for each engine. A stronger transmission should've been a thing for the V6 vs the I4. Those old Dodge and Chrysler products were built under Daimler-Chrysler, not Chrysler LLC or Fiat Chrysler and Stellantis, so they were slightly better quality, if only slight. I saw one the other day that had half the sliding door rusted off and the rear end practically sitting on the wheels. But it was still driving. Haha.
2002 Dodge Caravan is about 19-20 years old with high mileage. Expect propensity for transmission issues/failures, engine issues, and electrical gremlins. It’s not worth the headache - I would look at something else.
Junk.
Well I guess some people don't want to believe they are junk
I still drive my 04 Town and Country and it has no issues at 143k. I've seen some of these cars go to well over 200k miles. Finding a good one in good condition is a different story.
