Honda dealer refusing to fix my car under warranty

Scotty,

I own a 2017 Honda Pilot LX, AWD automatic. Great vehicle but have a check engine light problem for a couple of years. 143,000 miles, but it’s been happening since before 100K miles. Codes below. A mechanic in YT says it’s the injectors, and Honda extended warranty on those to 150,000 miles. Dealer confirmed this, but keep telling me they can’t conclude it’s the injectors in my case because the CE light goes on and off. When I brought it in, the light was off, so they can’t send what Honda HQ needs to approve warranty work. Not sure what to do. Pilot runs fine even with CE light on. Other dealer said it could be the gas tank cap, but it’s cap-less.

P0430 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 2 (confirmed)

P219B Bank 2 Air-Fuel Ratio Imbalance (confirmed)

P219B Bank 2 Air-Fuel Ratio Imbalance (pending)

P219B Bank 2 Air-Fuel Ratio Imbalance (permanent)

Thanks Scotty,

Pete

Well they certainly are scumbags sounds like it's the injectors. You sure you have a problem if they refuse to fix it pay a mechanic to replace them and if the problem is gone say well you had to pay a mechanic to replace it now that light is gone so pay for the repairs. If you end up contacting any of the Japanese people at Honda they will pay for it I've had many customers get paid by Honda sometimes though it takes years for them to get back to you and give you the money back so wine at the dealer a little bit more or try a different dealer
