I plan to start a used spare parts import shop outside the US, and would like to gather more information about the industry , I appreciate all the help I can get.
My main questions are
Is there any universal software to find the parts of all vehicles?
Is there a good and cheap parts management system?
What are the best parts to buy ( common parts that go bad _ I know each car is different).
What are the best shops to import from ?
If I forgot any important information please share it.
I really appreciate any small piece of information.
Hopefully this thread will help me and help any small business startups .

The big corporations run that business, as Scotty said.
I can appreciate your idea and drive, but you would be importing from basically your main competition. The only real way to be successful in parts would be if you had a large storage area for parts cars and basically got cheap wrecked cars to sell used parts off of. The amount of work that goes into that is nuts.
I have a few friends also who tried the parts business but the competition had blank checks and they eventually got out of the industry. Good luck though!

I really appreciate if you could share your experience about where to get good cheap parts in the US.
I mean, I get parts from RockAuto, eBay, etc. But I'm also not in the business of selling parts. I build vehicles, so I can't tell you if paying those prices would leave any profit for you. Also depends on your country's tax rate, etc.
Well good luck with that it is an insanely highly competitive business selling car parts. Personally I would never get involved I know many people who have and most regret their decision. Pretty much the big boys are taking over and you're competing with multibillion-dollar companies not a good position to be in. I spent my life fixing them and thank goodness it wasn't getting parts for other people. Good luck though

Our country is small and the oem spare parts are very expensive. My plan is to import used spare parts and wrecked cars.

TecAlliance is common to use in Europe atleast. It is some sort of aftermarket database thing. http://www.tecalliance.net
