My Boyfriend and I watch your youtube videos all the time and now I am hoping that you might be able to help me!
On Sept 26th I bought a 2003 highlander with 160,000 from a dealership in Bronx NY, they never inspected it because it has a CEL for P0036. (I am trying to find a lawyer) ...
We have replaced all 3 02 sensors and paid a shop $160 to tell me that there is an open circuit, it looks like someone went under the glove box and played with wires, and we cannot figure out how to get this car fixed, we are in Syracuse and are hoping for your insight/help, this car runs like a champ but we can't figure it out!
Would you happen to know what the pins are in the ECM for the bank 1 sensor 2?

Power to the heater in the B1S2 HO2 sensor is provided by the EFI relay on the White wire. (EFI RELAY: Closed ((energized)) with the ignition SW at ON or START position).

The ECM controls the B1S2 HO2 heater through a "duty cycle" controlled Ground from the ECU through ECU connector E6, Pin9 (Blue and red wire)

Sounds like another special from a BHPH lot. It really should have been gone over by a good mechanic before purchase. Unfortunately the cost of a lawyer would likely exceed the value of the vehicle and you can bet the dealer covered their rear ends in the paperwork, stating unequivocally that vehicle was sold "as-is".

You're going to need a schematic to figure out what kind of butchery was done to the wiring in that car. A quick search found engine control wiring diagrams that might help:

You may be able to get an AutoZone store to print the appropriate schematic out for you since they own Alldata. Or, worst case you can buy a short-term subscription to AllDataDIY and have access to all service information for that vehicle (about $20 for one month subscription, $60 for a year).

Pay a visit to South Main Auto. Bit of a drive, but worth it.
