Hello Scotty, I want to buy a plug in hybrid car (new)

so I have question: what do you think about plug in hybrids? Are they worse to invest or just get myself a gasoline car?
And what brands of plug in hybrids do you recommend?

Plug-in hybrids made by Toyota like the Prius Hybris, Rav4-Prime etc. are pretty reliable, but only until 150k miles. After that, you would be better off with a gasoline, diesel, or even an electric car, like a Nissan Leaf.

The only plug-in hybrid I would get is a Toyota Prius and others build on the same platform. It’s tried, true, and tested.

If you want to keep the car as long as possible, but a gasoline car. The hybrid cars are usually trouble free up to 150k miles and generally, after that mileage, you most likely need to change the battery which cost you a fortune.

So besides Prius, all other brands not working? This is unbelievable

Other brands may work. It’s just that the Prius and Toyota in general have a better track record. And Toyota is usually known for their quality.

What other brands are you considering?

Actually I think about Hyundai ioniq plug in hybrid primarily also Kia Nero and maybe Honda
