I have a 2001 Toyota Sienna with 435,000 miles. The vehicle is well maintained and has one issue. When I first start the vehicle in the morning, I have limited power steering for three to five seconds. Then the vehicle is problem free even after I start up during the day. The power steering fluid is full with no leaks. It has been replaced in the past with new Dexron III fluid. The car has no whining belt noise. The belt was replaced with my timing belt 50,000 miles ago with original equipment parts. Can someone tell me what might be failing. Is it the belt, power steering pump or pulley associated with the pump. Thanks
Ll
It might be that the pump has a short delay which, with that mileage, I would just live with if it only does it at startup.
The pump is telling you it's really tired.
