So I had the front headlamp assemblies replaced on my 2013 Prius Plug-in as I was noticing some internal condensation. Since, having them replaced, the new ones now have internal condensation that is not going away. I’m seeing conflicting advice on condensation where some are saying that something is letting water into the assembly and others say that there is a vent to allow condensation to evaporate. What is the truth? I want to take the. Back to the dealer by\ut suspect they will blame it on the replacement LED bulbs I installed before they were replaced and they will say that they need to replace them with the original HID bulbs which have a short lifespan… which is why I switched to the LED lights in the first place. Help!
Hot halogens keep the moisture out. LED don’t
I'm pretty sure the headlights are supposed to be sealed units. My father-in-law's 1998 Ram 2500 still has the original headlights, he never drives it, it sits outside 24/7. Condensation has never built up inside the headlights.
