Hello, I wanted to know some things about Buicks and what there ups and downs are. Specifically Encore GX 2017 and up. About how many miles do they last? Any info is helpful

Modern Buicks are not that great. I have seen some with over 100k (did some research). Older buicks with the 3800 Series II engines were better than today's buicks. I would do some research first on that car before buying and/or looking.

This is the rebadged version of the Chevy Trax, which was notorious for turbos failing prematurely.

Basically, run!

Are you planning on keeping the Buick Encore for a long time and put 100,000-200,000 miles on it (or more)?  If so, stay as far away as possible, esp. since GM quality has mostly gone downhill since the early 2000s (even earlier than that).  Besides the powertrain, electrical issues will most likely get you at some point and a royal pain to track down and fix.

The Buick Encore is literally made in China and imported to the states. When I heard that several years ago I knew to never mess with one of those. Modern GM's problems and Chinese quality are no road I ever want to go down.

As Kesterpaul 62 said, I'd find an early 2000s Buick with the 3800 V6. Those are halfway decent cars with tried and true engines. That 3.8L was originally designed for a carburetor in the 60s and updated for fuel injection. A version of it was actually the base engine in my 1979 Pontiac Catalina, and the only one legal in California at the time due to emissions... lol.
