I have a 2007 Toyota Camry CE 5 speed manual transmission 58,000 miles. It has most all of its original parts. I have had the clutch replaced 2-3 years ago and a somewhat noisey water pump a little later. Last August I replaced the alternator it was not showing any problems but when the battery was tested it said the alternator was bad. I was going to wait but I did not want to have problems in the Winter. I do not know if I really needed any of those parts but the water pump became noisey right after having some work done. In 2017 as part of a warranty enhancement I had the piston and rings and new dash and steering wheel cover replaced. I had that 2007 engine that was burning oil and the dash was stickey in hot weather. So a couple days ago I saw that the coolant level in the reservoir was low I had to add coolant twice. I saw at the top of the radiator a silver strip with holes outlined in pink coolant like coolant is being forced out. I could not find any other signs of a leak. I do not know what could cause that but a few months ago I did change the radiator cap just because it was old. The new cap was OEM from Toyota. I also changed the oil cap and gas cap. The car is not overheating runs well and smoothly has power when I step on the gas has never stalled, the radio, AC, & heat works, the body is in good shape, no rust, no accidents. Lately when I go to Toyota I do not really trust them now that my car is older. It seems like they are ready to replace everything. Can you tell me anything about my coolant problem. My check engine light has never been on and I always pass inspection so far. One owner, one driver. Texas.
If your plastic radiator tank is cracked and leaking install a new radiator.
