So I have a 2017 ram 1500 5.7L express 4x4, and I am having issues with the radio. The radio when it turns on just displays the Ram screen and never fully boots up. It played the last radio channel it was on on the last volume setting it was on. It would get stuck in backup camera if you did reverse after startup. I had it replaced by the dealer and now it will not boot up at all, the screen is completely black. It does not turn on at all anymore. Originally when I had it replaced it turned on asking for a anti-theft code, but I made the mistake of turning off the truck to acquire said code. When I turned it back on the radio does not function anymore. So can anyone please help if you have had a similar issue or know what to do. I am sick of wasting time with the dealer
Also it’s the baseline radio with nothing special
Did the dealer give you any sort of warranty on that? If not, it is waste of time fixing that thing, install an aftermarket radio.
It’s currently under warranty but I was wondering if you had any advice if I wanted to fix it myself rather then take it to the dealer multiple times
the one that i drive changes channels when i hit a bump in the road, if i owned it i would go aftermarket
