Should I buy Ranger Rover Evoque

Hi Scotty!

Welcome to TN!  I’ve been watching your channel for over a year now and you’re the reason I traded my 2015 Ranger Rover Evoque in for a 2020 Lexus NX 300 F Sport.  I like it ok, but I really miss my RR because it had a lot more power.  I always told my husband, if Scotty moves near us, I want my RR back because I trust him to work on it when inevitably it breaks down.  Again, I like my Lexus ok, but the RR just had more kick to it.  I never had any issues when I had my RR, but we got rid of it right before the warranty expired.  Do you think I should take a chance a get another one?  I’ve heard the RR Evoque’s are the more reliable of the brand.  Your thoughts would be appreciated!  Thanks and again welcome to TN!

forget that range Rover I wouldn't want to work on it it was bad enough getting parts for him in Houston where they sell millions of them they are endless money pits as they age you got rid of it and got a Lexus that's like going from the frying pan into a nice comfy bed

I assume you bought a lower trim Lexus NX, if you get higher trim, it will give you similar power to your RR. If you still want more power, get the RX350 or if you really need ultimate power, get GX460 or LX570. You have plenty of reliable options with Lexus.

@yaser
It’s the F Sport, 4 cylinder turbo, but only 6 speed transmission where my RR was 9 speed.

That’s right. But what do you prefer? A nine speed which is not dependable or a 6 speed dependable car?

You’re right. I wish Toyota would’ve worked with Land Rover instead of Mazda.

I'd never suggest spending money on that, if it's not range rovers it's lifted trucks, most of the craigslist ads I see are for cheap range rovers with around 115k miles on them or for lifted vehicles with similar miles on them, usually under 8 grand and usually less than 10 years old, speaks greatly with how much of a money pit they are. I'm not counting cars over 10 years old, and the only other ones I see are ford focus' (car likes to drive itself into oncoming traffic) and other pieces of (colorful language.)

Only lease JLR products, never buy!
