Should I buy this 2001 Rav4

Watched numerous videos you have put out, and thought I would ask your opinion of a 2001 rav4 2.0 1AZFE. Has excellent maintenance records on car fax. Motor however was replaced at 92k miles due to oil plug not installed properly and leaked oil to cause engine damage. It currently has 144k miles and was still going down the road this year because it shows accumulated miles on car fax. It was a 1 owner car very clean and very interested in buying. I know there were problems with the 2 az motor. Is this a good buy I wish I would have never sold my 1998 rav4 . Thank you for all the information you put out on YouTube
You must love what you do. Oh and don’t forget to rev up your engine!

Transmission on those have some issues at higher mileage. Ask your mechanic to check the transmission with fine tooth comb.

2001 was the first year of that (2nd) generation Rav4 and had some issues the key one being transmission-related (supposedly due to a faulty ECM).  Also, that 2.0L engine in general struggled with acceleration.  See below for other issues.  Additionally at 20+ years old, you may also be looking at also replacing the rubber, plastic, bushings, belts, etc. due to age.

How long do you want it to last? At that mileage if everything checks out it can be an excellent choice.

Thank you

please don't post the same question multiple times. It's again forum rules. Thanks.
