Hi

I have a 2012 Ssangyong Rexton  2.7 auto/ Mercedes running gear. I realise they are not sold in the USA the rear brake shoes are like those on a 1993 Chevy Silverado all the parts are the same the shoe is a complete unit not 2 halves. I know how to get it off and about the front part I would like to know how the black plastic bit at the rear that connects to the brake cable fits in.

I don't have a complete unit fitted to copy I have the brake shoe the barrel with the adjuster without the centre pin and that is all the rest is all missing. I have been unable to find anything showing fitting the black hook part and how it connects inside I have downloaded workshop manuals, service manuals found a you tube video below.

I know you have to grease the adjuster and put the metal pin inside do I just slide the black clip in then the dust cover or should I be doing something more. Thanks in advance for any help

That should work just realize that's one of the crappiest designs in history I hate working on those systems when I get American cars with them it's just a cheap piece of crap design

Thanks for your help I kind of realised it was crappy just looking at it. The rest of the car is all Mercedes stuff engine, transmission etc.
