Recommend a vacuum pump to bleed brakes

I was going to bleed the brakes using a Brake Bleeder And Vacuum Pump Kit from Harbor Freight for $25, but the pump did not build any vacuum.

I was considering Mityvac MV8500 for $70, but many reviews say that the handle breaks easily.

People with hands-on experience, please recommend a good vacuum pump (ideally that creates both vacuum and a bit of pressure). Thanks.

I just use the regular, plastic MightyVac.  It has worked just fine for 20 years.

You mean Mityvac MV8000?

Sorry I don't know what model it is. Like I said, it's 20 years old.

I use a Motive power bleeder that pressurizes the master cylinder and automatically feeds in brake fluid as you bleed. The downside is you need an adapter to fit each master cylinder cap you work with, and I've found that their flat adapter for classic vehicles doesn't work very well.
