Rims on used car

Topic starter

I'm looking at a 2005 Toyota Sienna with 146K miles. The rims look crappy, just basic black metal rims.

Is that a bad sign of something wrong?

If it is okay,  should I try to negotiate down based on that.

I don't want to waste my time if it is a sign of something severely wrong.

Maybe it came with those crappy rims.

@jimz
From what I can see online they are not original but can be bought for $65 each.

@jimz You are right. I finally found one online at a dealership and it looks like it has hub caps and the one I'm looking at they are all off.

The base model comes with hubcaps/steel rims.  Better rims require upgrade purchase.  There were 7 trim level available so lots of differences to be found, it seems.

Maybe you should worry more it being a Toyota than the rims. Look at the vehicle condition and forget the rims.
