Rip it out and re-glue new one.  Some felt/foam liners are petroleum based and just deteriorate and can not be fixed to look right (staining by regluing and doesn't stop continued deterioration).

Thanks, @hillbilly. I wasnt sure how to do the check mark thingy. I have been checking them because I thought it meant "liked". 😀

No worries. We all are still learning. Just hope I helped.

@hillbilly , yes and thank you. I have another question... so this is what to do instead of a flush, correct? Also, do you know if '09 Hondas have 'screens' or actual filters? This is a job that Scotty makes look simple... that I can even do.

Yes, it's easy. Look for vidy on your exact car to make you more comfortable doing it. It is a filter on the 1.8 and pretty sure the 2.0 is too. Recommend oem parts and fluid,

@hillbilly...... Do you know a fair price for this service?

hehe... varies some by area... should be about 1.5 hours mech time and fluid + filter+ gasket. I wouldn't pay over $200... well I wouldn't pay more than the fluid and filter! Easy job ; ) If you do decide to do it, be safe... an ole Hillbilly trick, straddle the car over a ditch, changed quite a few transmissions out this way back when I was a teenager.

agree... $200 neighborhood

@hillbilly There ate no ditches here 🙁 But if I was back in KY, yes, I would do it. Grin

@mountainmanjoe ...Thanks.

And I'll say this and shut up foe a while. Since I changed my plugs and battery, my windows roll up and down faster. That battery was on it's way out.
