Rust Behind Tail lights

Hey guys! I have a 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 with 110,780 miles. I just found what everyone hates to find. Rust. The rust is located behind the tail lights so you can’t see it unless you remove the tail light assembly. Thank goodness only a very small amount. I get my truck undercoated with fluid film every 6 months and I felt behind the rust I could see and my hand came out covered in fluid film. So I’m thinking the fluid film may have helped it from progressing further but I do not know. I’ve learned that this is a pretty common issue with these trucks. Do you guys think I should have it fixed or is it nothing to worry about and just keep an eye on it?

it's not structural.

It isn't even visible!

Not worth worrying about if you ask me

Beds and doors rust. As long as they're not completely rotted out, they're fine. A guy near my parents has an early 90s Toyota truck, the bedsides are so rusted out, the outer skin sticks out sideways from the bed like speedbrakes from the suction when he's driving it. Haha. My Ranger's front left bed corner rusted through the bottom in an area about the size of my fist. The cheap plastic Ford bedliner trapped water there.

It's the heavy frame underneath you want to worry about rusting. Crawl under there every once in a while and check for rust around the rear wheels where the shocks mount, and where the spring shackles for the leaf springs mount. Those nooks and crannies tend to rot out first.
