Hi Scotty, I watch your videos more than anything else on YouTube and t.v. for that matter. So thanks for your experience, and willing to tell instead of sell your knowledge. I know how you feel about fca and dodge could you really take a look at the dodge charger 2021 sxt base and awd models. I would love to know what you think about a current model charger in today's car climate. I wanted a more solid vehicle in a day of 4 cylinder turbo charged 2.0 L engines, I get 24 miles per gallon and it's steady increasing, I bought with 17 miles on it for 37000 bucks I work at jeep and received a 1500 dollar discount on top of 2000 in dealer discounts, it also offered a reasonable heated seat and steering wheel for 795 dollars as opposed to 2500 to 3000 included only in alot of packages including other things I didn't need or want. the day of the sedan seem to fading away I know how you feel about Toyota and I really wanted to support the company that helped me when my mom passed away last April. I was her caregiver for 10 yrs and she always told me having a solid car is important in a vehicle u drive and that stuck with me when I test drove some of the cars in the same price range. I really wanted a v6 engine and non cvt transmission, I agree with u the constant on and off isn't worth the minimal gas saved. Most cars dealers were trying to sell me were very light and had a plastic feel when u shut the car door. I can only imagine what would happen in a impact. I miss my mom very much, I take care of another elderly couple during 1st shift now and work at jeep 2 during 2nd shift. I love my dodge maybe u can help me keep it running for a long time in my mom's honor. If not no hard feeling sure u are plenty busy. I'm worried about the oil change seeing how the oil filter is problematic when overtightened and can cause problems I've never had a torque wrench and doing the change myself seems intimidating, I'm saving up for tools all mine are old and falling apart hand-me-downs. 40 years old and for the first time own something I really want to keep please help buddy. Either way keep the videos coming it's the rarity of truth that keeps me interested. Thank you so much...
I hate to say it but you shouldn't buy a Dodge Charger in the first place cause of its overall reliability. If you like Dodge Chargers, I would recommend you leasing it. If Scotty was here, he would appreciate you watching his videos. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Cars have become lighter these days but with a Toyota or Honda I wouldn't be too concerned that the new material used in cars is also making them less safe. Again when it comes to cvt first Toyota then Honda; traditional automatic is better but a cvt from one of these two manufacturers isn't something to be concerned about. I agree with @legendaryslayer that the Dodge Charger isn't known to be reliable. I know you said you love the car, but the best thing you can do is getting rid of it in this market that used car prices are worth a lot more than before then go with a Toyota or Honda. If you want a fun car to drive and can drive manual consider the 2022 Civic Si or two trims of the Hatchback.
@fjcruiser2014 Only the Sport trim of the Honda Civic Hatchback has a manual.
@legendaryslayer The Sport Touring of the 2022 Civic Hatchback has option for manual too; so Sport and Sport Touring.

Dodge isn’t known as much for their reliability as Toyota or Honda.
While you usually may not be able to reach the longevity of a Toyota or Honda with a Dodge, there are some steps you can take to TRY To maximize the life of a Dodge with respect to other Dodges, Chryslers, and Fiat products.
As always, keep up with your basic maintenance. Recommendations in the forum usually suggest changing the oil and transmission fluid at half the intervals stated.
Also, keep an eye out for anything that is off, and have it documented if the car is still under warranty.
Don’t drive it too hard.
Let us know how it goes and how long you decide to keep it, and what if anything went wrong with the car. Or if it is all good, that would be good to hear. Tag me @kaizen, I am curious how long your car can go.
