Hey Scotty, I have a manual 4th gen 1998 firebird formula (V8) with close to 200k on the chassis and about 50k on the engine. So far it is a very fun and solid ride and I have been able to get parts from its Camaro cousin. Anything I should look out for and your general opinion on the car?

The trans & rear axle are weak points beyond 150k. Might wanna give it a general steering & suspension "well being" check with a fine tooth comb.
Also keep an eye on the electrical situation, from what I recall they had the "duraspark" ignition which sucked to replace.
You can always do what I did on my 3rd gen Camaro & go full caveman, throw a weiand stealth intake along with a big holley street avenger.
