I have a 2002 Ford Taurus SE with 210,000 miles and an automatic transmission. When the weather gets warm and humid, there is a screeching sound coming from my engine bay. It happens during certain weather conditions (warm and/or humid), when I am sitting at a stoplight/sign, when I accelerate, and when I turn the steering wheel at low speeds. The sound goes away as I speed up past 15mph, when the weather is cold, and when I put it in neutral. Thanks for your help.

Drive/Serpentine/Fan/Alternator belt worn and slipping.
Whatever they are called these days, but that's the likely cause..
