Serpentine Belt Replacement

I have a 2016 Ford Edge Ecoboost with around 107000 miles.  I haven't experienced any problems, but am wondering if I should have the serpentine belt replaced since the vehicle is still running with the original one?  I heard lately that it should be replaced at 90K miles & I don't want to chance ruining my engine with a belt failure.  I plan on keeping this car as long as I can.  Thanks.

Are you talking about the serpentine (accessory drive) belt or the timing belt? (You said the former but it sounds like you're talking about the latter.) If the serpentine belt snaps it won't destroy your engine but will leave you stuck on the side of the road.  If it's the timing belt better change it because your engine will be ruined if that goes. If the timing belt drives the water pump that should be changed as well since a seized water pump of that type will snap the timing belt.

Since it is an interference engine I would change it with that mileage to be on the safe side.
