Shifter solenoid replace?

Scotty - I’m a big fan for 8 years now

2003 Lexus ES300 125K miles. Intermittent delay shifting in lower gears. How do I know if it is the shifter solenoid? I have done a drain and replace fluid 4 times. Still there.

There are electronic diagnostics that can be performed but they require sufficiently advanced equipment. See the transmission section of the manual linked above.
