While it is a bad time to shop for a used vehicle right now I have come across a used 2019 Ford Edge SEL AWD 2.0L with 73,000 miles for $19,223 USD ($24,495 CAD), seems like a pretty good deal compared to all other dealerships right now asking for $22,000 to $28,000 USD. Has no issues, no repairs or mechanical changes, and looks like it's in good condition, with no rust or anything.
If that vehicle doesn't turn out to be a good one then when the summer comes with hopefully better deals my goal is to look out for a 2019 or newer Toyota Rav4 LE AWD or higher trim. Either that or maybe a Honda CR-V with a 2.0L engine, maybe that would work? How about a Ford Escape with a 2.0L engine, can that be a better value instead of an Edge? Or since I'm a tall guy maybe a 2017 or newer Ford Explorer?
My ultimate goal is a used SUV for a daily to work driver and for some occasional ATV hauling in the summer months.
What are some of your thoughts?
Same answer as before -
Dealer - No.
Ford - No.
$20K - No.
So do you think I should go for a RAV4 or CR-V 2.0L for my ATV hauling needs plus the daily driving when prices come down?
Yes. Ford has been on a down hill slide for quite some time now. Either the Honda or Toyota would be a much better purchase IMO. The Toyota would be my personal choice.
Could a Honda CR-V haul an ATV every once in a while during the summer? Even the 1.5L?
Sure. Any vehicle, with the exception of a Fiat 500, can haul light loads for short periods of time.
Thanks for the info.
You posted this same question 15 minutes ago. Why are you posting it again? "Answer to: Is it any good to buy?"
Figured I'd get better help explaining my intentions in full and greater detail, which needed a new forum post. I privated the last one.
I wouldnt use those light duty suvs for hauling
