first i wanted 1.5 VTEC but i found out it its mixing fuel to oil, now i found this 1.0 comfort which is few HP less but i guess almost same engine as 1.0 VTEC, but i could be wrong

The Honda P-series is just Honda taking a "kei car" engine, stretching and turbocharging it. That engine is only sold in China and the UK.

Personally, I'd avoid any tiny turbo charged engine, a proper big naturally aspirated engine is a much better choice.

On the topic of that Mazda, the 120hp engine is the same as the 165hp - the difference is just some software. I'd personally wouldn't get a car that was handicapped by the manufacturer on purpose.

120 horsepower at 1300 kilograms? Don't expect any resemblance of a positive driving experience... I really recommend getting one with the full 165.

It is generally a reliable car - just change your engine oil frequently, if you plan on getting an automatic - keep the ATF clean, and inspect rubber parts of the suspension.

A proper 165 horsepower Mazda3 with the 6 speed automatic - is one of the best cars in production.

Another option I'd suggest (as you're obviously in Europe) is the Suzuki Vitara 2017-onwards with the 1.6L (Naturally aspirated engine)

A one liter engine? in a car? that sounds absolutely tiny!

It’s quite common in Europe. The best selling cars are often around 1.2L… (Renualt-Nissan-Mercedes 1.3L, Peugeot-Citroën 1.2, …)
The ~2017 Focus 1.0T (125HP, the only decent 3 cylinder turbo in production) made more power then the 1.6L 4 cylinder and offered similar reliability (on late model years. the first were plagued with design defects)

So it’s quite an economical nice driving experience. Although personally I’ll always stick to bigger engines.

In my country you pay the lowest road tax, when you register a car and then every year, for engines with displacement up to 1350 ccm. For bigger engines you pay more.
