Should I change my transmission fluid?

Hello, I have a 2010 Chevy silverado 1500 with the 6l80e transmission. There are 140k miles on the truck, and just bought it. Looks like the transmission has been “checked” by a dealer (carfax service record) once already sometime before 100k (can’t remember off the top of my head). I was wondering if a simple drain and fill and filter replace would be a good idea at this mileage with its history. I would drain the fluid from the pan only, clean the pan and replace the filter. Only changing about 1/3-1/2 of the fluid in the transmission. Please give me your thoughts.

I would say give it a go, just save the old fluid in a container in case it goes bonkers then you can drain and put the old fluid back in. I would get the exact fluid for your car, too.
