  • hey scotty. been a fan for years now. it would be great to have your advise on my previous car issue. i got a used 2015 mazda3 and went in for a long drive (about 500kms). 20kms down to the destination, i got a check engine light and still drove it for about an hour. the next morning, i still drove it for 45mins bec there were no mechanics nearby, then the check engine started to blink. after a while, i lost acceleration then stalled. took a break for 30 mins then drove it to a shop, about 1km away. they found out it was due to a faulty sparkplug for which i had them change all 4 plugs just to make sure i get home. it has been 2 weeks now and i feel no issue, but as im reading articles online, other mechanics are suggesting to change oil and oil filter as well to prevent catalytic converter issue. it would mean a lot to have your expert opinion. thanks!

Well you never know how much gasoline get in the crank so just take the dipstick out and smell the oil. If it stinks the gasoline yet change it
