[Solved] Should I get a Toyota Highlander XLE Hybrid FWD?

I am planning to buy the Toyota Highlander XLE Hybrid FWD, and could you please advise on the pros and cons of a hybrid vehicle?  I drive over 60 miles per day in NYC and I get stuck in traffic most of the time. Therefore I am leaning toward the Hybrid but I don't want to be surprised with potential issues that I am not aware of.  Also, we get a few snow days a year in NYC, and would an FWD be sufficient for 8-10 inches of snow?

Thanks for your help!!!!!

If u are thinking about buying brand new and keeping it for 100-150k miles, go ahead. However, never buy used that's high mileage because they can turn into money pits with all that complexity in the hybrid system and electronics.

If you want to buy a brand new one and do not want to keep the car forever, go with the Hybrid, otherwise choose the V6.

Thanks. I do plan to keep the car for a long time, maybe 8 years. Why wouldn't you want to keep a Hybrid for a long time and why a V6 is better?

Hybrid cars get expensive when you put mileage on them. They should be fine till 150k miles but after that the hybrid system repair becomes expensive.

Thanks. I will most likely sell it before hitting 150k miles. Thanks for the tips. What do you think about FWD on 8-10 inches of snow?

The thing is that if you want to drive in snow, the snow tires make a big difference and you should be fine with a FWD car.
