Hey scotty. Love your videos. I have an 09 fusion in crappy condition with 163,000 miles that within the past year. I've already put 1500 dollars into repairs, and now the serpentine belt is screwed up. I really don't wanna put more money into this car because I've been wanting to get a 2017 civic si. Should I fix the belt and sell the car? Or is it not worth much to sell it.
I don't think it is not difficult and expensive to change the serpentine belt and I think you can sell with a batter price if you fix it. And about the civic, it should definitely be a better car.
I'd say replace the belt, fairly cheap, take maybe 10 minutes ?
But I'd be VERY careful about a used Civic SI. On the used market, most of them are trashed within 1 year of new. We quit selling them because too many came back. In a used car business you don't make money on problems, just on good stuff and happy customers. So now we just wholesale them off ...

Forgot to mention something: the belt is squealing because of Tropical Storm Eta. And I've recently replaced it last year. That's why i was thinking of going for a newer Si. All i see on Facebook Marketplace are used modified ones and i stay weary of that. I'm looking for a reliable car that just so happens to also go fast 🙂 I just don't wanna make any false steps
