I have a used 2013 Scion tC that runs and drives great. I know it is recommended to change transmission fluid every 30k miles or so but I know Scotty has said it’s best to leave it untouched if you haven’t kept up with changing it. Being used, Im unsure if the previous owner ever changed it and it is at 143,000 miles. Is that too many miles to the point where I should just leave it or is it not too late to get into the rotation of changing it?

I suggest signing up on the toyota owners website, or scion maybe, and enter the car as your own. You will be able to see any maintenance that was done to it from the dealership, and hopefully you will see the transmission being serviced.
