Hey Scotty!
I got a 2001 Toyota Avalon with 152K miles on it and it's been a decent car for me except for this problem that I'm pretty concerned about.
As for anyone, not any vehicle like mine should be floored like a race car. But I was curious to see how fast it would be. As when I was flooring it and getting it up to high RPMs, it would not change in any other gear and jerk like mad when continuing to do so.
I've been trying to find some research and it's kinda getting tricky of how to explain it so I uploaded a video throughout YouTube to see the problem.
Here's the link:

What could it be and how can I fix this problem?
Would I have to get the transmission rebuilt or replaced? Or something else that's not as major?
Well, unfortunately you pushed a car with 152,000 mi to the limit and now the transmission has been damaged. If you can find an honest transmission guy, have him check it out with his fancy scan tool on a road test. Pray it's something like a bad shift solenoid. They won't let it shift
