Hello Scotty!

I recently bought a 2019 CRV with 43k miles on it. I’m wondering if I should shit into N during a stop light more than 5 mins long?

also, I want to know when to replace my transmission fluid as I don’t know if the previous owner ever did.

No. However at train crossings I will put it in Park.

you have stop lights that are more than 5 mins long? 😮

Hey, thank you for answering my question!

I live in a big city in south Florida and I’ve noticed that a lot of times I’m in heavy traffic with no movement for more than 3-5 mins.

There is comprehensive information on changing fluid for different types of transmissions in the site FAQ. (The Readers Digest version in your case is that now would be a good time to do it.)
