Hey scotty, I have an '04 Toyota Tundra V8 4x4 with almost 100k miles, around 99,500. When I got it, it had around 98k, and had this slight low-pitched noise when the steering wheel was turned. 2,000 miles later, the same noise is there, and it hasn't gotten any worse. Is there anything I should worry about, and what could cause this noise? Also to note, I found that there is a bead of fluid on the inner tie rod boot occasionally, but the power steering fluid level hasn't dropped at all in the 1500 miles I've driven it since I put lucas stop leak in. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks!
Make a YouTube video of the noise & post the link here.
I'm kinda confused at what you're asking. If you are asking If it's leaking fluid like that switch was in the video, then no because I don't see any wet power steering components above the rack.
Hence the request for a video of the noise. Although, if your fluid is full & it’s still groaning, it may be your pump.
