Scotty! I have a 2005 Lexus RX330 AWD with 130k that responds slowly when I accelerate. If I give it too much gas, the car jumps forward after hesitating for a second and is overall sluggish when accelerating. I’m hoping it isn’t related to the transmission. It does slip sometimes in lower gears. I recently changed the spark plugs and the timing belt was changed 40k ago. The gas mileage is terrible (12 in city and 17 on highway) Any idea why my precious Lexus is acting up?
Yeah, sounds like tranny...if that year has dipstick check fluid see if it smells burnt, than a tell of slipping clutch plates. Also check level, if it clean may none just solenoid, but best guess it tranny,. Outside chance computer. No codes? May have to take to ship for proper diagnosis
