2006 Ford E350 5.4L 12 passenger van
My rear ac unit makes a noise, sort of like a squealer bar on worn out brakes, but it mainly occurs when I'm stopped (at idle).
It's still occurring after I had my whole ac system recharged by a mechanic. They warned me that my compressor is wearing out and needs to be replaced (high and low pressure is weird at idle, return to normal when engine rpms are increased to 1500 or more). Makes sense that ac works best on the highway.
Doesn't seem to be related to blower motor speed. Could it be something related to the expansion valve or condenser? The system was a couple pounds low on refrigerant for a long time.
Thanks for the help,
Well the rear AC in the front AC work out the same compressor so the compressor would make noise in the front if you hear noise in the back you probably need a new blower motor back there
