At 74k miles, kia soul makes a squealy sound when the clutch starts to 'bite' in reverse. Most noticeable on cold start. Have heard it once or twice when 'biting' first gear as well. Thx.

Generally that's the throw out bearing being a little dry but you have to remove the transmission to replace it so I would wait until it had actual physical problems then replace the entire clutch set
