2023 Subaru Crosstrek (although she did it with every car in the past)
My wife has a habit when backing out of the garage of putting the car into gear too quick. It seems like as soon as she hits the (push) button to start the car she's already shifting into reverse. It drives me nuts!!! I try to tell her to let the car run for 5-10 seconds before shifting into gear but she never listens.
Is this bad for the car. I would think you would want to let it get fluids/air circulating and come up to pressure before moving.
Please tell her to stop doing this!!

You already told her. Install a large, brightly lit vanity mirror on her sun visor and tell her to check her hair and makeup for 10 seconds before putting it in gear. You have to get a little crafty these days. I guarantee she'll spend more than 10 seconds on that!
