Starting problems

Hi Scotty,

I have a 2011 GMC Sierra SLT with the 5.3. After I drive the truck and park for approximately 15 minutes the truck will turn over and not start the first cycle. But, if I turn the key to the start position and off right away it will start normally. If it sits for an hour or so it will start normally also. There is a window where it will not start so I believe that rules out the fuel pump. To me it seems electrical but what is it... any help would be appreciated

thanks

It could be the MAF sensor, try cleaning it.

Check all your relays to see if any of them are damaged. Also, check your ignition switch, does your key get warm/hot after a long drive?
