Scotty, I dropped my new to me '05 Corolla off at the stealership for the Takata airbag recall, and they gave me a complimentary loaner, a beautiful 2021 Corolla with some fancy schmancy bells and whistles. I feel like they're planning to try and scheister me into buying a new car. Is that how they get ya?
They might give it a try but you'll really find out if they're scamming you if they try to talk you into all kinds of expensive service items for that 18-year-old Corolla. The real bad stealerships will just go ahead and charge you for extras whether you approve them or not or whether they actually did the work or not.
You needed those guys for the airbag recall but I wouldn't go back for maintenance or repairs.
Update: they let me get my car back today bc they don't even have the parts yet. SMH. Why'd you even let me drop it off if you ain't got the parts. I told them their car is very nice, but I much prefer my own Corolla. Also, yikes on bikes. I told them I already know what's wrong with the car, and I don't consent to any other repairs, and when they get the parts, I will reiterate that to them again.
It could very well be a combo of customer service and marketing.

is it working?
Too many buttons and gadgets for me. Turns out they haven't even got the parts in yet anyway, so I went and got Little Bitty and brought her back home. They said they'll call me when the parts are ready. Also, I DO NOT like lane departure. The little blue Corolla yelled at me for getting too close to the line on a narrow road.
gotta stay between the lines, just like when you were a kid 😆
