Hi,
I have a 2015 Honda Pilot 4WD. When I drive, the steering wheel shakes left and right and it happens faster when I speed up. I tried going 60mph and the car started shaking. I notice the front right tire doesn't have a tire weight balance like the other 3 tires. It snowed up here so I pull the E-brake on flat roads and one time I drove on half on the road and half off going 15mph for fun - I did slid off but was able to get back on. I think that's when the shaking started happening.
I used a level and saw that the front right tire leans a little (top towards engine/bottom tire towards away).
Any ideas on what is causing the shaking? Am I paranoid with the leaning?
Try Joe’s suggestion, if it fixes it, great! You just need to rebalance your tyres.
If it didn’t fix it, however, there’s something more serious going on in your front end or suspension and you’ll need to visit a reputed front end shop to have your front suspension & alignment checked.
swap the front right wheel to the back and see what happens.
If you like having this kind of fun, then get a truck or ATV. Your Pilot isn't built for that.
