Hello I own a 2013 Scion TC and I got a aftermarket touch screen stereo and a back up camera installed and it worked fine for a couple days and then the stereo started having problems it would shut down and then reset and then shut down again and there was no way to turn it back on, I don’t know much about cars but I checked all the audio fuses and they where just fine, thank you for taking the time to read this I appreciate the help

What brand is it? Is it just like some cheap radio or is it a know brand (Kenwood, Alpine, pioneer, etc.)? Have you checked the wiring in the back? Did you have to solder, use butt connectors, spade connectors, etc.? Need a little bit more info but that’s pretty much all the things I can think to ask for at the moment. 🙂

It’s a boss radio and I have no clue what they used I had a professional install it well I hope he was a professional lol

Yeah boss isn’t that bad I would personally choose a different brand if I could but not bad eventually I’ll be replacing my alpine with one with Apple CarPlay

Nice

Take it back to the professional and have him fix it.

They told me the stereo was no good which I don't believe

A reputable company should stand behind the product. A reputable installer should stand behind his work.

Installed an aftermarket android unit in my personal car. It started acting 'wanky' after a cpl of months. So I cleaned the battery terminals & tightened all the connections (they looked fine) and trickle charged my battery overnight. It's worked fine since then. Might be worth trying, it certainly can't hurt.

Yeah I can give that a try, but if my battery is low wouldn’t the whole car electric system start acting funny and not working?

No. Just because a battery starts a vehicle doesn't mean it's good. Scotty has talked about this in several videos. Have your battery and alternator tested. Your local parts store (AutoZone, Oreilly's,etc) will do if for free.
