Scotty what’s your thoughts on a 2011 Subaru Outback 2.5i 6 speed manual with 70,000 miles for $10,000?
I think that's a decent car, particularly with the manual. Just make sure you get it inspected before purchase.
I can't speak for Scotty, but that sounds like too much money for a 10-year-old Subaru. Bear in mind that's in the age range where they still had frequent head gasket problems. (The manual trans is a plus though.)
If the head gaskets have not yet been replaced they likely will start leaking at around 100K miles or so. Subarus also tend to eat the front inner CV joints due to their proximity to the exhaust system. That is a much less expensive repair than head gaskets but you'll want to check that the CV joint boots are OK. (Of course you'd want the entire car checked over by a mechanic.)
Pretty good. The 2011 ones did not have the oil issues the 2013-2016 had. The 2.5 engine is pretty decent have a mechanic check it out and make sure the head gasket is good. Other than that the transmission is bulletproof and you should be good just have a mechanic make sure of the mechanical condition and if it is good it could last.
FYI the most common issue (aside from automatic transmission failure) was premature headlight burning.

The average cost to fix is $110. If it is cared for, that generation of Subaru could certainly last without that many repairs.
