Hey Scotty, I drive an 06 Mercury Montego with 90k miles, and I get random surges of gas.
It's caused me problems while parking and at drive-thrus for about 4 years now and it recently got worse.
A few weeks ago I was waiting to pull out into busy traffic and it started going crazy and revving like I was flooring it for about 10 seconds.
I wasn't pressing the gas and my floorboard is clean.
I've taken it to a mechanic and even the stealership, and they say they can't find anything wrong with it.

No, I'm not wearing really big shoes. It doesn't just happen for me, it happens when a family member drives it too.
