Supercharger leak

Good Morning, I am Jody Otwell from Atlanta, GA. and I have a 2021 Ram TRX that has been heavily modified and suspect that I have a leak around the blower somewhere.

I have separated the blower from the intake a couple of times changing out the blower snout with a modified one (pourted to a larger size). During this process and driving it a couple of thousand miles I have noticed what sounds like a leak when I am mid throttle. It sounds like air is being pushed out on the top side of the engine, I am assuming around the blower. This would be when there is a load on the engine and is being difficult to find when setting in the shop with the hood open and not having a load on the engine. I am running around 17lbs of boost which is about 6lbs more than the factory boost. I have not run it hard since I have noticed the leak, I do not want to cause additional damage to anything.

Do you have any suggestions on finding this leak?

I appreciate any help or suggestions in advance. I am new to the supercharger side of the industry, as I have worked on engines as a hobby since I was a kid back in the 80's and can handle most task with no issues. Let me know if you have any questions that may help with diagnosing this leak/problem.

Thank you

Jody

I didn't know what a blower snout was, so I did some research.

Something is wrong with the part itself I think.  It's not a factory spec piece, so something was machined incorrectly on it?  17lbs of boost is quite a bit, you have really increased the pressure in the engine a lot.

If it was me I would go back to the stock snout and change out the pulley for more HP.  I think that would be a safer way to pick up 30+hp without quite as much boost. (my guess)
