So my 2004 Honda Accord ex 4 cylinder with almost 300,000 miles is in pretty bad shape. Not to get into all the issues as I have on here enough. So I have an appointment with a reputable shop, a local shop not a Firestone or anything that, they are the ones who said I need a rack and pinion fix. So I am taking my car Thursday for a second opinion and to have them see what I need fixed. Now I have paperwork about what is wrong with my car, supposably I guess since the rack and pinion thing came from Firestone (which I'm told can't be trusted). Now my question is this.... When I drop my car off, should I give them the paperwork that Firestone gave me so they have an understanding of what they would check for mainly. Also I was thinking of writing a few side notes on a paper about what I feel could be wrong and know what's wrong. I will be dropping the car off early so no one will be there for me to talk to and I have to leave my key in the drop off envelope. So do you think I should give them this paperwork of the issues with side notes?
I'm just hoping for everything to be fixed it wouldnt be more then 2000. I just want this car to last me for one more year at least until I can get something better. Just don't want to drop a lot of money for something newer unless I have to.
For reference, these are the problems this owner is talking about:

No.
I would not show them anything which might influence them
I would only tell them the actual symptoms I experience, and have verified for myself.
If there's noise, tell them about the noise. If you saw leaks with your own eyeballs, show them the leaks.
After I got the car back from them, MAYBE I would tell them what the other shop found. Depends what they come up with.
