Hi,
I have a 2008 Toyota Corolla with about 148000 miles. It gave me a P0741 around two months ago when I was driving on highway. I changed the transmission oil n filter, and after a day or two the check engine light went off on its own.
Today I was driving on highway and it gave me the same code again. The transmission does not seem to have any problem in shifting up and down, although I felt it stuck very little sometimes during today's highway drive, but it could be my imagination as well. The freez frame data shows it occured at around 48 miles per hour speed with around 2000 rpm.
What do you suggest? Should I do the tranny fluid n filter change again, as the fluid is still somewhat dirty.

The torque converter clutch (TCC) won't affect shifting. It's a separate mechanism.
Should I do the tranny fluid n filter change
No that won't help. This is an electrical problem. Either the solenoids, wires, or control module.
You can keep driving with this code. The only consequences will be lower fuel economy and a little but warmer transmission.
@MountainManJoe
Changing the tranny fluid n filter had worked last time. It might work this time as well. Should I try it first before going for changing the solenoid?
The oil has no connection with the solenoid?
That code can be caused by a number of issues, there are some troubleshooting steps here:

Thank you!
