how do i find out if someome messed with my gas tank on my 02 ram 1500

It might be worth your peace of mind to drain the tank, flush it out and get a locking gas cap. It's a lot cheaper than a new engine.

Just drain the fuel.
if that's a concern you frequently have- use what they do on aircraft - temper stickers
they're usually super cheap and leave no recede. if it says "VOID" or if it has been removed - you know someone is messing with ya.

Well but the only thing you could do would be take a sample of the gasoline and there are companies that will analyze the gasoline
