I heard this sound from my truck today while idling. It just started today. Any ideas?

It would help greatly if you mentioned your make, model, year, and the mileage on your vehicle.

Sounds more like a belt, to me. If it's the torque converter, when you shift into gear, the torque converter will vibrate the truck.

@justin-shepherd even in the rear of the truck? It’s a 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with a 6.0L engine installed 45~ thousand miles ago.

The mechanic came and checked it, said the bolts were tight on the torque converter. Took him for a drive he said things were shifting fine. I took it for a short drive today and seemed like maybe the sound came back?

Noises echo and can seem to be coming from different areas. Noises can seem to be coming from one location and it's really from coming from another. Get a noise finder from Amazon and put them in various places. When you're nearest to whatever is making that noise, it will be the loudest on the panel.
