The older model is hard to come by I’m currently waiting on one dealer to contact me about the car, the xrs 2009 is a little easier but still “rare” not as rare as the 2004-2006 model, supposedly that engine is found in a lotus Elise I believe and it comes with a 6 speed manual, the 2009 comes with a 2.4L 4 cylinder from a Camry and outputs 158hp compared to the 2005 xrs which outputs 170hp, I’ve seen the 2009 models last 300k+ and for the 2005. I haven’t really seen anything above 230k probably since most people try and destroy the engine. Anyways which car should I get? All these vehicles are from toyata dealers 2005 Corolla xrs comes with 200k miles $6k and the 2009 xrs goes for $10k for 50k miles, (lowest price I’ve seen for this specific trim)

I would be aware of both. If they both use the 2AZ-FE motor, I would pass on both because they burn oil like insane if the piston rings weren’t replaced. However, if it has the revised 4 cylinder that replaced that oil burning one, then it’s okay. Otherwise, I would just stick with the 1.8L motor.
