Looking to buy a used Toyota 4-Runner. I've found 2 I'm considering. One is a 2012 Limited with 165k km (96k miles) asking $20k. The other is a 2006 with 250k km (150K miles) asking 12k. Both trucks are one owner, in excellent shape and have been maintained at Toyota dealers. Am I better to go with the older model and save the $8k or will the newer model require less $$$ to maintain?

Both are a bit pricey if you can haggle a good price on the 2012 I would get that. If the 2006 was like <$7000 or you can get it for that it wouldn't be a bad purchase either.

Buy the 2012 if mechanic locations the deal

If they both pass a mechanics inspection, go for the 2012. Are they both 2WD or 4x4 ??
